Park Watch members patrol on bike, horse and on foot.
Park Watch

Park Watch is a volunteer group within the Park Division. Members patrol Bidwell Park on foot, bicycle, or, if they have one, by horse.
Members report suspicious or unusual activities or conditions to Park Rangers. Members also provide Park visitors with information on Bidwell Park and rules and regulations. Many Park Watch members also like to help with special Bidwell Park annual events.
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Volunteer at least 4 hours a month.
- Attend 2 mandatory training classes and a 2 hour walk along with another member.
- Pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
How to apply for membership in Park Watch:
- Pick up an application from the Park Office, located at 965 Fir Street (right off of Hwy 32 just east of the Hwy 99) or download the Park Watch Application.

The Park Watch Steering Committee meets on the 3rd Thursday each month at 7:00 p.m. in Conference Room 2 in the Chico Council Chamber Building at 421 Main Street. All Park Watch members are welcome to attend.
