Traffic Signals

Please call us immediately at (530) 894-4200,

Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. &

Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or (530) 897-4911 after hours if you see a traffic signal out or not operating properly.

With 99 traffic signals in town, an emergency can happen anywhere at any time. Reporting traffic signal outages is important. If a traffic signal is not functioning, please call us immediately. Do not email.

Street Lights

To increase the visibility of pedestrians, bicyclists, and other vehicles, the City installs street lighting. The City of Chico owns & maintains approximately 3,000 streetlights within the city limits and pays for a similar amount of PG&E owned streetlights. This higher night visibility generally leads to a reduction in vehicle collisions and a reduced amount of neighborhood crime.

Reporting outages is important. If one of the City's 3,000 streetlights is out please let us know at

(530) 894-4200 or by email at Right of Way.
