Notice of Request for Proposals for
Economic Development/Tourism Services and Events

The City of Chico is conducting a Request For Proposal (RFP) process for its contracting of economic development/tourism services and events that are intended to strengthen the economic base of Chico. The RFP categories will include:

1) Direct Services to Businesses to Strengthen Chico’s Industry Clusters through Retention/Expansion/Start Up/Attraction of Business Investment
2) Programs/Services to Support and Expand Tourism within Chico
3) Tourism-Related Events that Strengthen Chico’s Economic Base

An orientation regarding contracting for invoiced services was held on Monday, January 25, 2:00-3:00 p.m. in Conference Room 1 in the City Council Chamber Building, 421 Main Street.

Prior to the RFP deadline, contractors will be given the opportunity to present their proposal concept to the Economic Development Committee at its meeting on Thursday, February 11 at 4:00 p.m. in Conference Room 1 in the City Council Chamber Building. Requests to make a short presentation should be made to Nancy Kelly at 894-4357 nkelly@ci.chico.ca.us.

Deadline to submit: Proposals must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26 in the Economic Development/Redevelopment office, Chico Municipal Center, Third Floor, 411 Main Street.
