The City of Chico's three "most cycle friendly places to work" in Bike Week's 2009 Business Challenge:
Background:
Chico’s Bicycle Business Challenge happens during the annual Bike to Work Week in May. Businesses that enter the challenge are sorted by employee size then given a “base point” rating attained from the strength of their bicycle incentive plan, bike parking arrangements, and the availability of employee showers and lockers. Then during the week of the competition, businesses are scored on a combination of ridership percentage and commute mileage. Daily outcomes are posted on the City’s web page.
